become greatly diminished over the past few
years, so I am trying to target CDs for review
that I can provide real support in promoting with
my reviews. I am interested in promoting CDs that
contain intensive instrumental efforts
incorporating world music, jazz, fusion, and
other styles of music that are instrumentally
intensive. I am especially looking for music with
world music, Latin, Afro-Cuban, Gypsy, Spanish /
Flamenco, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, poly-rhythmic,
and other progressive types of influences. I
reserve the right to pass up any CDs for formal
review if I feel I cannot provide a beneficial
review for the CD. In these cases, I may provide
informal feedback to the CD provider. Please do
not be offended, I am only trying to make the
best use of my available time. Many places that
provide reviews thrive on bashing. ChrisRuel.com
believes in a more positive approach to reviews
that is based upon promoting excellence and
providing constructive feedback, rather than the
type of self-promoting, egotistical criticism
that is prevalent on many other websites that
